How do I apply?
Please email your name, age, location and 2-4 photos. Due to the number of applications we receive, we will only have time to reply to those we feel are right for the agency. We will reply to successful applicants within 5 working days. Our books will open at different times throughout the year, so please keep an eye on the website and our Facebook page to see if we are looking for new faces.
Do I need professional pictures?
Yes, you will need a minimum of one head shot. Additional photos are a bonus. Please make sure you own the copyright of any photos you submit. It is important children look natural on their photos. Please avoid hats, sun glasses, big hair accessories and make up. Photos must be in colour. Babies, under 18 months, do not need a professional photo.
Is there a joining fee?
There is no fee for registering with RJ Management. However, we do charge a £35 per annum website and admin fee. This website & admin fee is subject to a 30 day cooling off period. The children's webpage profiles are password protected, for the safety of the child, and will be viewed by vetted clients only.
What is Spotlight?
Spotlight is the UK's most popular casting directory. Spotlight offers a wider range of briefs, for commercials, TV and film. Only children
with Spotlight accounts can be submitted on these briefs. Spotlight membership costs £100 per annum, this payment is made directly to
Spotlight. Money will not be taken for 30 days from setting up your child's account. To set up your child's Spotlight account please contact
the agency on 07907262230.
The industry is highly competitive and realistically, without being on Spotlight it is a lot harder to secure castings. Many casting directors find
the children they wish to see solely by looking on Spotlight.
As of 07/08/18 the agency decided to make Spotlight a compulsory requirement, when joining the agency. Therefore, any children who are offered places after 07/08/18, must be happy to join Spotlight. Children already in contract, will remain as optional, due to the terms they agreed to when joining the agency. However, upon renewal Spotlight will be compulsory.
Where and when will castings be?
The majority of castings take place in Central London or Manchester. So, you must be happy to travel for castings and work. There is
little notice given when selected for a casting, often you will receive details the day before. We will expect you to attend the casting if
selected. Therefore, it is very important to keep the agency updated on your availability.
Most castings take place Monday - Friday all year round. It is impossible to represent children who are not available in the week or
during term time.
Do you take commission?
Yes, we take:
25% from any work within the UK
30% from any work outside the UK
20% from any Theatre work.
Can you guarantee work?
Like any other agency, we can not guarantee work, neither can we guarantee castings. We receive many casting breakdowns every day and You will be submitted on every brief that you fit the criteria for. However, from that point on, who is chosen for castings/work is down to the clients.
